Grade 6- Unit on almanacs, and their use.

Grade 5- Continue collaborative writing project.
Student will continue to work on writing a story inspired by the illustrations in the Mysteries of Harris Burdick.


Grade 4 – Unit on dictionaries and their use part 2. Go over worksheets and explore guide word use.  
We will go over dictionary use and do a worksheet for hands on experience.
Library information concepts: Selecting informational texts & literary non-fiction.
Competencies: Independently use various print and digital reference sources.

Grade 3 - Fairy Tales around the World Unit.
We will look at various well known fairy tales as well as similar stories told around the world and compare and contrast these stories.

Grade 2 - Native American Literature.


Grade 1  Caldecott Award Books. We will continue our look at different Caldecott Award and Honor books. We will read and discuss various Caldecott stories.
Library information concepts: Identifying Literary Elements.
Competencies: Identify characters and setting in story.
Explain plot in story.
