Grade 6- Continue Career Exploration unit.
Standard-13.1.3.G
Explain why education and training plans are important to careers.
Standard - 13.1.8.A
Relate careers to individual interests, abilities, and aptitudes.


Grade 5- Continue collaborative writing project.
Student will continue to work on writing a story inspired by the illustrations in the Mysteries of Harris Burdick.
Library Information Concepts: Using images to inspire writing.
Competencies: Working together to develop a story. Using images to inspire thinking.
Common Core Standard:  CC: W.5.4 Produce clear and coherent writing in which the development and organization are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience.


Grade 4 – Continue Tall Tales unit. We will look at various Tall Tales as how they represented various occupations who helped build this country.
This week is Davy Crockett.
Objective:  Understand the elements of a Tall Tale.
 Library Information Concepts: Identifying Literary Elements.
Competencies: Students respond to works of literature – with emphasis on comprehension and making connections among ideas.

Common Core Standard: CC.1.3.4.K  Read and comprehend literary fiction on grade level.

This week: Yeh-Shen a Cinderella Story from China.
