A week

Grade 6- Continue group research project.
Objective: Students will work as teams to research a topic using various print and electronic resources and then present their work in a PowerPoint presentation.

Grade 5- “The Mysteries of Harris Burdick” writing project.
Objective: Students will continue to work on their collaborative writing project.



Grade 4 –Jumanji – A look at the 1982 Caldecott Award winning book.
Lesson: We will read and discuss the Caldecott Award winning book, Jumanji.



Grade 3 Earth Day Hooray / Book Fair Preview
Lesson: We will read the book Earth Day Hooray! Discuss recycling.
Library Information Concepts: Identifying Literary Elements.

Grade 2 – Earth Day Hootay!
Lesson:  We will read Earth Day Hooray, discuss Earth Day and grouping numbers by 10’s and 100’s.



Grade 1 – A Pig Tale.
Lesson: We will read the book A Pig Tale and discuss Earth Day.

Kindergarten: Read A Pig Tale.
Objective: Students will: understand that the cover of a book gives a clue to what the book is about. Understand that the title, author, and illustrator are found on the front cover of a book.
