Grade 6- World Almanac Lesson – Big Board Facts Game.

Students will use the World Almanac for Kids to answer questions as teams compete in a Jeopardy style game.

Library information concepts: Selecting informational texts & literary non-fiction.

Competencies: Independently use various print and digital reference sources.

Grade 5- Continue collaborative writing project.

Student will continue to work on writing a story inspired by the illustrations in the Mysteries of Harris Burdick.

Library Information Concepts: Using images to inspire writing.

Competencies: Working together to develop a story. Using images to inspire thinking.

Common Core Standard:  CC: W.5.4 Produce clear and coherent writing in which the development and organization are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience.

Grade 4 – Unit on dictionaries and their use. Part 2

We will go over dictionary use and do a worksheet for hands on experience. We finish and review worksheets done in parts 1 and 2.
