Grade 6 

Students will continue collaborative writing project based on As the City Sleeps.  Most classes should be finishing up with their stories. Classes done with project will look at Dear Mr. Henshaw as we discuss Realistic Fiction.

1.4.6. B:  Write multi-paragraph informational pieces (e.g., letters, descriptions, reports, instructions, essays, articles, interviews).

Use relevant graphics (e.g., maps, charts, graphs, tables, illustrations, photographs).

Use sources, as appropriate, to task.

Grade 5

Students will continue collaborative writing project based on The Mysteries of Harris Burdick. Most classes’ should be finishing up with their stories.

Classes done with project will look at Maniac McGee as we discuss Realistic Fiction and PA authors.

Grade 4 – Week A except Nestor: Just a Dream by Chris Van Allsburg. B week and Nestor in A week: A look at Biographies.

Grade 3 – Genres, We will explore various genres in literature.

Grade 2 – Super 3 Resaerch skills and a look at Power Library.

Grade 1 – Authors and Illustrators. A look at authors and illustrators.

Read: Exploring series books.
