Grade 6- Begin group research project.
Note: Days 1-5 will be in the classroom and will start this lesson in Cycle 14.
Objective: Students will work as teams to research a topic using various print and electronic resources and then present their work in a PowerPoint presentation.

Competencies: As part of grade-level-appropriate research process:

Grade 5- Continue collaborative writing project.
Student will continue to work on writing a story inspired by the illustrations in the Mysteries of Harris Burdick.

Grade 4 –Davy Crockett- Continue Tall Tales unit. We will continue our look at various Tall Tales. We will pay close attention to the use of hyperbole.
Objective:  Understand the elements of a Tall Tale.

Competencies: Students respond to works of literature – with emphasis on comprehension and making connections among ideas.

Grade 3 - Fairy Tales around the World Unit. – Princess Furball.
We will look at various well known fairy tales as well as similar stories told around the world and compare and contrast these stories.
